Based in Flamborough Ontario, Canada, vom Shield German shepherds produces healthy, stable dogs and puppies with strong working temperaments. We decided to start our program because there is a lack of quality working German shepherds available in North America.
We have been importing, training and selling dogs for the last fifteen years. However, over the years we noticed the quality of dogs coming from Europe decreasing. As such, we decided it was time for us to make our own dogs.
Contrary to popular belief great dogs are born, not raised. Genetics matter and no amount of nurture or training can compete with quality genetics. Our program is the result of many years of rigorous selection from only the best working blood.
With a focus on health and working quality, we produce the BEST German Shepherds in Canada.
We are excited to announce that we will be partnering with Kennel vom Haus Le. This kennel is owned by my friend An Le, one of the top trainers and competitors in Canada. An has podiumed at multiple National events with Bond vom Haus Le, a dog from his breeding and has represented Canada at the world championship. Both Haz and An have taken dogs from their own breeding programs and shown at the highest levels. An and Haz both know what a top quality German shepherd needs to be. As such, we have decided to join forces forming kennel FULL POWER! Kennel Full Power will be an amalgamation of both An and Haz’s bloodlines with a focus on working quality and temperament. All Full Power breedings will be announced on this site and the Shield K9 facebook and IG pages.
Our breeding stock is hand picked by us, from German, Czech and Slovak working line dogs that have been bred for numerous generations for police and military applications.
We import, raise and train our dogs for personal protection, dog sport and law enforcement.
We believe we have some of the best dogs available in North America and are extremely proud of our program.
We are not breeding for the masses, we are breeding for true connoisseurs of the working German Shepherd dog.
Our breeding facility is located in Puslinch, Ontario Canada. Our puppies are whelped here and fully evaluated by our team for suitability as family dogs or entry into one of our working programs.
