At Shield K9, we are committed to producing high-quality working line puppies and ensuring the best possible matches between our dogs and their future homes. Due to the nature of breeding, selection, and early development, all deposits and payments made toward a puppy are non-refundable. This policy also applies to our adult dogs with or without training. By placing a deposit or making any payment, you acknowledge and agree to the terms outlined in this policy.

Deposits

Strictly Non-Refundable
All deposits are strictly non-refundable. Deposits are required to secure your position on our waitlist or to reserve a specific puppy, litter, or adult dog.
This policy applies to both puppies and adult dogs offered through Shield K9.
Deposits compensate for:
  • Breeding and development program costs
  • Time invested in client communication, evaluation, and dog matching
  • Lost opportunities to place puppies or adult dogs with other qualified buyers

Payments

Non-Refundable Under Any Circumstances
All payments made toward a puppy purchase are non-refundable under any circumstances, including but not limited to:
  • Changes in personal circumstances
  • Financial hardship
  • Housing or landlord restrictions
  • Allergies
  • Scheduling conflicts
  • Travel limitations

Transfers and Credits

While refunds are not offered, we understand that unforeseen circumstances can arise. At our discretion, we may offer the following options:

Transfer of your deposit or payment to a future litter

Credit toward a different puppy, if available

All transfers or credits must be used within a timeframe determined by Shield K9 and are not guaranteed.

Puppy Selection

Puppy selection is based on our professional evaluation and matching process. Once a puppy has been assigned or selected, payments remain non-refundable regardless of client preference changes.

Health and Breeder Responsibility

All puppies are sold with a health guarantee as outlined in our purchase agreement. This policy does not replace or override any health guarantees provided.
In the rare case that a puppy becomes unavailable due to health or unforeseen breeder-related circumstances, we will offer:
  • A replacement puppy from a future litter, or
  • A credit toward a future purchase

Acknowledgment

By placing a deposit or making a payment, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to this No Refund Policy in full.
